The Office of Military Legal Assistance (OMLA) is a comprehensive state program that unites the joint efforts of legal aid organizations, private sponsors, and the Nevada State Bar Association to address the need for affordable legal representation in Nevada's military communities. The Southern Nevada State Veterans Home is equipped to accommodate 180 residents in three housing units, including a 24-bed unit that provides two levels of safe care for residents with cognitive impairment. Veterans from rural communities can remotely connect with counselors and staff at the Henderson Vet Center to receive services. Veterans residing in Nevada can apply for a specialized combined hunting and fishing license through the Nevada Department of Wildlife's online licensing system or through a Nevada fishing and hunting license agent.
